But one thing I knew for sure was that she was going to be standing by my side as my maid of honor on my big day. Words can’t explain how happy I am to see this woman grow as a beyond wonderful mommy (and lucky I get the blessing of being her little girls god mother!

Bride’s best friend I met Jalysa 5+ years ago at a job that we both shared. And the day i came to the job floor we connected instantly . She took me under her wing. She dragged me out to the club, brought me out of my shell, and we became friends. Watching her grow so much in the last few years, amazes me with all that she has accomplished. From becoming a god fearing wife to opening her own nail salon. Last year I had the honor of being in her wedding and now she gets to be in mine!

Bride’s cousin My twin! Although she is my cousin, she always felt like my little sister. Stealing clothes, borrowing makeup and just being there. Watching her grow into a phenomenal young woman and awesome mother has been an absolute pleasure.

Bride’s best friend I remember the day we met! I was doing a makeup application on her. And she literally said “I’m making you my friend”, like she didn’t even give me a choice! And I’m glad she did! She has been a blessing on my life, my accountability partner. Setting goals and making sure we are staying true to who we are. Because of that she is now the awesome founder of the non-profit jumping D.R.E.A.M.S. Not only dedicating her time to young girls but building scholarships and so much more. (If you want to donate by the way, ask me how lol)

Bride’s cousin My big sister. I was never blessed with blood sisters. But god made sure he surrounded me with cousins and friends that can look out for me. And he knew what he was doing when he placed me in the same world as this mother. She is the voice of reason and maturity that I need in my life. I can ask questions and know that I’m getting the best answer. Who I aspire to be like when I “grow up”. Holding down a husband, 2 kids and a non-profit that is aiding teens in midlands. She’s a beast in my eyes! (Oh you can donate to her non-profit as well lol! Ask me how!!!)

Groom’s sister and bride’s new sister After meeting and spending the weekend with Brittney in April, I knew that Dustin and I were even more meant to be! Never have I felt so welcomed and loved instantly! She is a super fun, gorgeous, down to earth, but tell it how it is savage! AND I LOVE IT! I knew she had to be apart of my bridal party because she would make it poppin. Lol The bond that Dustin and Brittney share is a real one and it wouldn’t feel right with out her being up there with us.

But this one is my Rider, my sound board, my voice of reason and one of the few that can talk me down from the ledge. I know that I can talk to her about anything and that our secrets are ours. I trust her with everything that I have and know that she’ll always have my best interest at heart. I always looked up to her, she has shown me how much a god fearing, dedicated woman can accomplish. Such as being a spiritual leader, owning a salon, all while loving her husband and two kids.

We've been through it all, At the age of about 4, we'd be egged on by his older bro and uncle nate to wrestle in the living room until one of our noses started to bleed, 99% of the time it was his but whose counting. Uncle Nate wa there for me as a father figure/ big brother when I needed him the most. He taught me so many things that I needed growing up. Taking me fishing, camping, motorcycle rides, just chilling with him and his boys. He might not know this but it meant the world to me. My boy Q...he introduced himself simply as "King" in our Meet & Greet in the dorms in college and from then on we were boys. We've had so many good times in college and beyond. Not to mention the countless NBA 2K tourneys he knew he was going to lose so he had to cheat and move the sliders up on all of the attributes of his horrible players he drafted. Win by any means...can't be mad at that

I'm really looking forward to him standing up there with me.

His parents instantly adopted me as on of their own as they did all of his friends. We would have a fully stocked fridge in the basement will all of the pop a kid could ever want. Whether we were in his garage or the basement, he was always giving me poker tips or capping the latest game.
