We first met at a gathering our church runs to build community among people in their twenties. Our initial meeting wasn’t much more than a polite hello and a handshake (classic Robert move), but we both took notice of each other. Over the following months, we kept crossing paths at church events and social gatherings as part of the same friend group. It wasn’t until attending our mutual friends’ wedding that we truly had a chance to connect. That extended weekend turned into an unexpected adventure when a rare snowstorm stranded our group in Texas—of all places for several days. While the storm wasn't much more than a dusting, the dusting and frigid temperatures gave us plenty of time to talk, laugh, and get to know each other better, which hadn't been the case before. After getting back to the DMV a few days after the wedding, Robert asked Christina out, and the rest, as they say, is history. What started as a simple hello grew into a deep friendship and an even deeper love. Now, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife!
