God’s plan will prevail. We’re finally getting married!

Takira and Tajai (TNT) have known each other since attending school together at North Garner Middle in 2008. They didn’t know each other well until they met again through mutual friends (Rizio, the best man) at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High in 2010. Throughout high school, TNT saw each other on a “hi and bye” basis but they finally reconnected on February 5, 2016, at Rizio’s house party. Tajai had eyes on Takira from the moment she walked in and immediately made plans to take her out on a date. A few days later TNT went on their first date at Xoco Mexican Bar & Grill. The first date wasn’t that great but somehow they managed to see each other at least 3 more times within the two-week time span before Takira left to study abroad in Chile. By that point, Tajai was sure that Takira was the woman God intended him to be with so he sealed the deal by asking to see her off at the airport (and awkwardly meet her family). Just one month later, Tajai sent flowers to Takira’s apartment in Vina del Mar, Chile and asked her to be his girlfriend. The date was March 28, 2016, and the rest is history. Due to the current pandemic, the wedding plans for #TNT have changed. They will now solidify their union on Saturday, August 15th with their immediate family at a private location. Following the ceremony, there will be a virtual cocktail hour reception to celebrate with loved ones whom they care about dearly. “Although we can’t be together physically we can still celebrate in a safe and fun way!” - TNT

After the wedding, #TNT will return to their normal lives in Durham, NC where they take care of beautiful house plants and their fur baby, Dutchess. Takira and Tajai are mostly looking forward to spending more time together and livening up their home for future endeavors.
