With COVID putting a halt on our original wedding date, we felt we had to end our 2020 on a high note. Kevin and I decided to have an intimate backyard wedding at my parents house on Christmas Eve and we were able to host a zoom meeting for a few family members to share that moment with us. It was untraditional to say the least, but it was the day we officially became husband and wife!
Like any millennial, Kevin and I met each other online. Kevin was first to come across my profile and sent me the cheesiest message I had ever read. Naturally, it caught my attention, so of course, I responded. Now, I can’t exactly tell you how long we talked for, but somewhere in that first conversation, Kevin said he would marry me one day. I'm sure I responded back with a sarcastic, "yeah, sure you will." That one conversation turned into hundreds of conversations, that then turned into moments and memories we later created together. To this day, I still don’t know how Kevin knew he was going to marry me, but here we are nine years later getting ready to renew our vows. I know I speak for us both when I say we couldn't be more happy to celebrate with you all, especially since having to wait so long!
A complete surprise it was! With my sister-in-law Katie and her husband Gary in town, I was under the impression we were exploring new sceneries for their anniversary. Turns out it was all an act to pull off the biggest surprise yet! Kevin drove us to Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, where he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course, I cried happy tears and said YES! Not to mention my family and friends all surprised me by popping out from their hiding spots. It was literally the happiest day of my life ❤️
