Denver International Airport (DEN)

We recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DEN), which is about a 2.5 hour drive to Grand Lake, CO. If you prefer to fly into Colorado Springs Airport (COS), it's approximately a 3 hour and 15 minute drive.

Unfortunately, there is not much public transportation to Grand Lake. If you are flying in, we recommend renting a car at or near the airport. This will also allow you the flexibility to stop at some fun mountain towns along the way, including (but not limited to!) Winter Park, Fraser, and Grandby. A vehicle also allows you to go to Rocky Mountain National Park, 15 minutes from Grand Lake. We recommend carpooling with other guests if possible. Also helpful to carpool into RMNP since park pass purchases are per vehicle.

Home James Transportation

If you do not want to rent a car for the weekend, Home James provides transportation from Denver International Airport (DIA) to the Grand Lake Visitor Center. The good news is that Grand Lake is a small town, so if you stay near the center of town, you can easily walk everywhere. Home James provides a few options: - for a shared shuttle from the airport (leaves daily at 1pm: $114-$139 per person - for a 5-person Luxury SUV: $335.79 - for a 10-passenger private charter: $479.98 (15% gratuity included for the driver) - for a 14-passenger private charter: $601.34 (15% gratuity included for the driver) Please let Maki or Tucker know if you are interested in this option, so we can help coordinate our guests to safely and efficiently arrive to Grand Lake. It is important that you make a reservation for a secured spot.

There are currently 16 rooms blocked from 9/25 (Thurs) - 9/28 (Sun) at the Lone Eagle Lodge, which is < 1 mile from the ceremony and reception. The room block will be held until full or 4/28/25. Please call the hotel to make reservations and let them know you’re with the Taki wedding. There are currently 11 rooms available. Located right in town and short walk to ceremony (0.8 mile) and reception (0.5 mile). Call or book online to place a reservation. Unfortunately, no room block available for this hotel.
