Every love story has a beginning, but ours began with prayer. Takesha Montgomery and Frederick McKinney first met at Christ Deliverance Center Ministries, where faith, service, and obedience to God are at the heart of all things. During a Sunday service in 2025, instead of a traditional altar call, our Pastor felt led by the Holy Spirit to invite members to turn to one another and pray together. In that sacred moment, Takesha and Frederick were paired—and a simple prayer became the seed of something extraordinary. At the time, neither of us could have imagined that God was orchestrating more than a moment. As time went on, our paths continued to cross through ministry, united by our shared love for evangelism and serving others. What began as fellowship grew into friendship, and friendship soon revealed a deeper connection rooted in faith, purpose, and genuine care. After a short period of time, Frederick felt led to take the next step and ask Takesha—affectionately known as Kesha—on a first date. From that very first interaction, everything felt intentional. It was as though two souls who had known each other for a lifetime were simply reconnecting. Conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter came naturally, and peace surrounded us both. It was clear that God’s hand was present. Following several months of prayerful courtship, Frederick knew the time had come. On January 10, 2026, after respectfully asking for Kesha’s parents’ blessing, he proposed—marking the beginning of a new chapter built on love, faith, and commitment. Now, with grateful hearts, Takesha and Frederick prepare to become one on Saturday, September 5, 2026. We joyfully welcome you to join us as we give all glory to our Heavenly Father for the marvelous things He has done.
