Lisa and Collin met on Bumble, yes, the dating app! Collin swiped right on Lisa because he saw a German Shepherd (Hunter) in one of the photos and thought, this girl loves dogs and must have a great personality because she noted Uncrustables are our generation's greatest lie (Lisa thinks the pressed edge is still a crust). Lisa swiped right because Collin had a picture of a Beagle (Molly) in one of his photos and thought, wow, is is one of the only normal-looking guys on Bumble thus far and likes dogs. Once Lisa swiped right, they matched, but Lisa waited until the next day to message him. Saturday morning came around and Lisa thought she sent the following message to Collin, "Hey how was your Friday?" ... Thanks to a little help from auto-correct, she actually sent, "Hey how was glue Friday?" Collin laughed, made fun of her, and hasn't stopped making fun of her since.

Collin is not much of a planner, but he told Lisa he planned a pre-Christmas date to spend some time together before the holidays get hectic. The day came and went, but Collin wasn't giving up any clues or hints. Lisa was convinced he had nothing planned and whatever they ended up doing was going to be planned on the fly, but he had a plan. On the evening of 12/18, Collin surprised Lisa with a drive out to Pingree Grove to see the Holiday Light Show at Goebbert's Farm. Lisa was lost in the lights (Christmas lights are her favorite). A minute in Collin said, "Huh, something is wrong with the car." Of course Lisa heard none of that. Collin got out of the car to "check on something," the song and lights paused and over the radio came an announcement, "We pause the regularly scheduled light show for a special announcement..." Lisa didn't know what it was, but she knew Collin was going to miss it so she jumped out of the car to get him. When she did, the big light-board they were in front of changed, Collin started talking about how much Lisa means to him, out of the corner of her eye she sees, "LISA ... WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Leave it to Lisa, the first thing out of her mouth was, "Shut up ... are you serious?" and then she said, "YES!"
