We met August 21st, 2022, at Black Lake Conference center in Cheboygan County, Michigan. Both were attending a work conference and somehow ended up enjoying each other for the whole week. Being introduced the first day and finally breaking the ice and having friendly conversation the following day. We were having such a good time, that Matt invited me on our unofficial “first date” to Mackinac Island. By the fifth day it was time for us to depart, however Matt had qualities that I liked and wanted to get to know him more, so we exchanged information. From that day forth we were joined at the hip, creating memories and a life with one another. August 2023, we became an official couple and four short months later in December, Christmas to be exact he proposed. I immediately said ‘yes’! Since coming into each other’s lives, we’ve experienced true and genuine love. He was the missing piece to my puzzle, he loves my children as his own, a great provider and overall wonderful man. Since deciding to become one we’ve been planning, vibing, goal getting and elevating together. Loving each other fully, flaws and all; with God being the head of our union we pray for him to continue to work and guide us in making our union stronger than it has ever been.
