Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are only allowing our nieces and nephews at our ceremony. The names of those invited will be on your invitation envelope. Thank you for your understanding.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

You may be surprised to find out that we are not having a conventional wedding. We are in a historic Opera House in the Wild West! Please dress however you see fit. This is a formal event, but feel free to add your own pizazz. We are getting married during spooky season at an Opera House. There will be candles, witchy decor, with a seasoning of razzle dazzle. Imagine you went to a turn of the century carnival and stepped into a fortune teller's tent. Your fate is sealed.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is some street parking around Virginia City. We recommend that you get dropped off at the Opera House by another guest or family member if you have mobility issues. There are a lot of hills in this town, as it is built on a honey combed mine system. Most of the hotels, aside from Gold Hill are within walking distance to Piper's Opera House.

Question

Who will be catering the reception? What are the food options?

Answer

Battle Born Smokers will be catering the reception. You will have a variety of options to choose from; including sliced tri-tip, chicken legs, cowboy beans, mac & cheese, and salad. We will have tofu wraps for our vegetarians and we spared no expense on churro fries for all! There will also be some appetizers available before dinner service. The cake will be made by celebrity chef: Amy Disston with Amy's Cakes. (But for real, she's a celebrity chef). Let it be publicly known that the cake will be donated, as Amy is Emily's aunt, and she is calling in a life debt.
