Carl will tell you it started the first time he saw Ta’Jha, walking in the parking garage at UMKC. Ta’Jha will tell you it started when she walked in her apartment on campus and Carl was there with mutual friends. Somewhere between both versions is the truth. College brought them together. Mutual friends, late-night conversations and shared faith sparked a light between them both. But like many young love stories, theirs wasn’t a straight line. Life got complicated. They grew, sometimes in different directions. Carl and Ta’Jha faced their own challenges, made mistakes and even let go of each other for a time. BUT GOD! In his timing, not theirs, they were brought back together. They were wiser, softer, and stronger with God. Today, they are parents of two amazing sons, Carl III & Chase, who have changed their lives forever. Their days are full of bedtime stories, tiny hugs, spilled snacks, and big love. They have been through joy, struggle, grace and growth together. Now, they are tying the knot to stand before God, family and friends to say: They are all in. Forever.
