Gerald and Tajarae met while celebrating Tajarae's birthday in 2015. She literally showed up at his doorstep accompanying her cousin Charles Kirkland. After a few drinks, Gerald and Tajarae began to chat, and they eventually stayed up until sunrise. They talked about love, life, and their history. They had no idea that their future would end up in marriage, but they knew that day that they were inseparable.
