Who would have thought that in 2022 we would still be considering covid-19? So, we will be paying VERY close attention to ALL CDC and State guidelines and restrictions. We want to celebrate with all of you, but we also want to ensure safety!! IF we have to postpone, cancel or make any changes to numbers, we will reach out to everyone (please make sure you update your contact information on your RSVP)!!! To maintain safety.... -we ask that everyone monitor their own health and wellness, IF you do not feel well (we all know the covid symptoms) we ask that you DO NOT attend the ceremony or reception. -MASKS!!!! Vaccinated or NOT...wedding is indoors, during March, use masks wisely!!
Ronnie's birthday fell on a Thursday. He was adamant about having a birthday party on Thursday and not Friday (like I requested, over and over and over). Since, he was so set on this 'party', I didnt offer to help. I wouldnt go to a store, I wouldnt help with cooking, NOT A THING! I did criticize his menu of grilled chicken and said he should have tacos, lol, so he added that to the menu thinking that's what I wanted! I called my Mom to watch the girls, since this party must go on...she panicked and decided she was coming to the party too, instead of saying she'd come get them. So, without talking to Ronnie, I called his Mom, she agreed to watch the girl's, I think she panicked too. So I go home pack up the girls, get them ready to go and drive to Muskegon. When I get there, Mama Linda tells me to, 'put the bags down and go' (she has NEVER not invited me into her home..that was like my 3rd sign). I drive home, still irked because the guest list was growing...I saw cars of people I didnt expect to be at the house on a Thursday in the middle of a pandemic at the house. The icing on the cake (not literally, because that was forgotten)...My mom kept insisting that we sing Happy Birthday to Ronnie, when we didnt have a cake, decor, or presents, lol. Ronnie comes upstairs and after this awkward group serenade starts giving a speech, I remember saying, 'you really giving a speech' and I heard, 'it's not about me, it's about this young lady right here..' and it was THEN that I realized why he insisted on Thursday (even though I was so against it)...that was the only way to keep me out the way, so he could surprise me!!!
