We're so excited to celebrate with you all. We've been planning this wedding for almost two years, and Covid can't deter us from having a fun (and safe!) celebration! Please RSVP through the website, read through the FAQs, and let us know if you have any questions!
For the health and safety of our guests, particularly our most vulnerable guests, we are upholding all COVID-19 regulations set by the local and federal government. As an extra precaution, we require guests to provide documentation showing they have either received the COVID-19 vaccine (first dose completed at least 2 weeks prior to the wedding) or a negative COVID test (from no more than 72 hrs prior to the wedding). Upon arrival, there will be a temperature check station, and we will ask to see the documentation previously mentioned (photos or screenshots on your phone work just as well).
Fitting for two millennials, we met on a dating website! After chatting for a couple of weeks, we eventually met for drinks at a super fun carnival themed bar - Unicorn.
Always up for a celebration, we both proposed to each other. Taja beat Victoria to the punch and proposed to her on August 3, 2019 after a beautiful hike on one of our favorite local islands, Whidbey Island. At the end of the hike, Taja and Victoria sat down for a champagne-and-sammies picnic, where Taja got down on one knee and popped the question to Victoria! Victoria was certainly shocked and had difficulty controlling her excited screaming. A week later on August 10, 2019, Victoria concocted a surprise dinner proposal at Picolinos, our favorite local Italian spot. With Taja knowing a proposal was coming, a true surprise was going to be tricky with an ever-suspicious Taja watching. So Victoria sneakily recruited an elite team to help her pull it off! So while Taja’s bridesmaid, Keisha, expertly distracted her with a shopping trip and (fake) dinner plans, Victoria with the help of friends, Anastasia and Jeremy, carted giant balloons across town and decorated a private outdoor space with special touches, like the giant “Marry Me?” balloons, rose petals, and pictures of the two throughout the years. Suffice it to say, Taja was quite confused when her bridesmaid made a last-minute restaurant change and then a quick getaway on the way to their table. However, the mission became a success when Taja burst into happy tears upon seeing Victoria down on one knee in a space decorated to celebrate their love.
