The closest airport to Long Beach Island is Atlantic City (ACY), which is roughly 45 minutes south. Newark International (EWR, 87.3 miles, approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL, 68.7 miles, approximately 1hour, 30 minutes).
Travel Note
There is bus service (https://www.lbibus.com/index) directly from NYC and Philadelphia making stops in Manahawkin (at the Mainland Holiday Inn) and other stops on Long Beach Island. This bus also makes a stop at the Newark or Philadelphia airport if you’re meeting friends or need to catch a plane home! Make sure to purchase tickets for the bus ahead of time.
