Tait & Reece's love story began long before either of them realized it. They first met when Tait’s dad felt God’s call to become the pastor of Reece’s home church. At the time, they were just kids — 8 and 10 — who had no idea that one day they would be planning forever together. As the years went on, friendship slowly bloomed. By high school, their shared love for music brought them closer, and when they started interning at the church, things really began to shift. They would ride the school bus together to the church, spending countless hours learning about music, ministry, and life side by side. Looking back, those everyday moments were laying the foundation for something much bigger. Reece could tell Tait liked her when she was 16, and very quickly told him, “It’s never going to happen.” (Clearly, God had other plans — and Tait’s patience paid off!) Before they knew it, they were going on “not-a-date” dates, laughing, dreaming, and falling in love without even realizing it. After four years of dating, Tait got down on one knee in September of 2025 and asked Reece to be his forever. Reece- "I still remember the moment I realized I was in love with Tait. I was sitting in my childhood bedroom, thinking about the future, and I couldn’t imagine a single one without him in it. We had been the best of friends for so long, and I worried about changing what we already had. But I was even more afraid of what would happen if I didn’t take the risk. There is no one else I would rather have by my side. We don’t just say we’re best friends, we genuinely are." Tait- "The reason I fell in love with Reece was her love for God. I remember seeing her go into the church every day out of her own desire when I was always forced to as a pastor's kid. I remember wanting to know God how Reece knew God. But the more I knew God, the more I knew I wanted Reece."
