Our love story began in March 2019 when we were matched within a popular dating site at that time, Match.com. Tai had recently relocated to North Carolina from New Jersey, for a new career opportunity, and was looking to meet new people. While not new to North Carolina, Mark had recently moved from Greensboro to the Raleigh/Durham area, and also was looking to meet new people. After communicating through the app for a while, then through text, we decided it was time to meet in person. Our first date was March 17, 2019, and the rest is history. During a couple unprecedented years learning to navigate the new normal of COVID, more work-related relocations, family illness, and loss of a parent, the one thing we were consistently sure about was each other. It was clear we had found something special and rare. A mature love. A romance that could withstand life's up and downs. After several years of dating, mostly long-distance, Mark proposed to Tai in April 2022 over the Easter weekend. We were lucky to have Tai's father present to witness the occasion; he passed away only one month later. We are so blessed that Mark was able to get to know him, share some laughs and a drink (or two), but most importantly ask for Tai's hand in marriage. As a daddy's girl, that meant everything to Tai. In Dec 2022, Tai rejoined Mark in North Carolina, where we purchased our first home together. God has definitely shined on us and kept us in miraculous ways over the last 5 years. We are so excited to see how He continues to bless our union and this next chapter of our lives. We know that with Him we can conquer all things together.
