September was a busy month. While Taimoor was deep in his studies preparing for his upcoming Engineering exam, Nawal was busy attending weddings and engagement parties. Taimoor decided he was going to propose to her at Ort Farms because Nawal was always obsessed with farms and dreams of owning her own farm one day. Did I mention it was only a week before his exam on the 25th? All week Taimoor convinced Nawal to come to NJ so they could go apple picking, but Nawal refused because she wanted to spend some time with her Mom, but she reluctantly said maybe. Taimoor continued the planning even though he was unsure if Nawal would even attend. On the day of the proposal Nawal texted Taimoor saying she couldn't come. Taimoor's world came crashing down as everything was already prepared. He called Nawal and after alot of convincing Nawal finally agreed to attend. However, she hit traffic on her drive over and called her friend Sammy to complain about how unreasonable Taimoor was being and not understanding that she wanted to spend some time with her Mom. Sammy egged on Nawal even more and said he was terrible, all the while preparing for her proposal at Taimoor's house. Eventually Nawal arrived and commented on how Taimoor smelled sweaty (it was a 90 degree day and Taimoor was outside preparing for the proposal). She made him get her coffee before heading to the farm, throwing them behind schedule. Upon arrival at the farm she kept stopping to admire each tree and wouldn't let him lead her to the proposal site. Finally after alot of coercing they finally arrived to the proposal site and Taimoor dropped on one knee while Nawal stood there in shock. All Nawal could say was how sorry she was for the way she was acting. Don't worry Nawal did make it up to Taimoor! Taimoor proposed with a box of duck donuts (Nawal's absolute favorite) and a giant sign that said will you marry me?
