We're Getting Married!

Although we knew of each other in high school, our paths didn't fully cross until two years after graduation. What began as a simple online connection quickly turned into something more — our first date was dinner and bowling, followed by hours of conversation that neither of us wanted to end. We went on two more dates before Cam left to play college basketball, and at the time, Taia assumed that would be the end. But Cam had other plans — he couldn’t ignore the feeling that there was something worth holding onto. We stayed in touch, with conversations that deepened from casual to meaningful. Messages turned into phone calls, and a genuine friendship began to grow between us. When Cam came home for winter break, we spent more time together — walking through Christmas lights, ice skating, and laughing over arcade games. At the time, Taia was teaching fitness classes, and Cam showed up to a class every day to just be with her. Our first kiss happened after a night of building gingerbread houses, just before Cam returned to Washington. Though Taia hesitated at the idea of long distance, the connection between them only grew stronger — texts turned into calls, and calls into long FaceTime conversations. Cam even set his alarm for 4 a.m. just to wish Taia good luck before her first ultra trail race. When his season ended, Cam returned to Utah as fast as he could — and took Taia out the very next day. Not long after, we officially began our journey together. What started as a quiet connection grew into a lasting love built on friendship, shared values, and an unwavering commitment to each other. And now, we're stepping into forever — together.
