FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 5th, 2026

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

🎁 Your Presence is the Greatest Gift We feel so lucky to be surrounded by such love and support as we begin this new chapter together. We understand that traveling this far is very costly and time consuming. Your presence at our wedding—whether you're traveling far or celebrating nearby—is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. We are not planning a formal gift registry. Just having you with us means the world. ❤️ In keeping with Tahitian and Chinese tradition, we will have a small envelope box available at the celebration for anyone who wishes to contribute to our Future together or simply leave a card and well wishes. Please know there is absolutely no expectation—your love and support are more than enough!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

⏰ Ceremony Details Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM. We kindly ask guests to arrive by 4 PM to allow time to get settled and enjoy the setting before we begin. Thank you for helping us start this special moment on time!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be held outdoors by the ocean—warm sun during the day, with a gentle breeze in the evening. We suggest comfortable, tropical-elegant attire: - Lightweight fabrics (linen, cotton, flowy dresses) - Comfortable shoes or sandals (grass and sand-friendly!) - A light layer or shawl for the evening, as it can get cooler after sunset Think: relaxed, refined, and ready to dance 🌺

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Children are welcome! We’re so excited to celebrate with guests of all ages, and that absolutely includes your little ones! Our wedding will be family-friendly, with space for kids to play and relax. We’re planning a few simple activities to keep them smiling during the festivities—think bubbles, coloring pages, and a few quiet corners to unwind if needed. If you need help arranging babysitting or kid-friendly accommodations, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help! We can’t wait to celebrate with you and your whole family. 💛

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate food accommodations.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there should be enough parking at the hotel to accommodate everyone.

🌴 Island Hopping Adventures

Answer

If you’re extending your stay, we highly recommend visiting one (or more!) of Tahiti’s incredible neighboring islands. Each one has its own charm and beauty—here are a few of our favorites: 🌺 Mo'orea Just a quick 30-minute ferry ride from Tahiti, Mo'orea is lush, laid-back, and full of natural beauty. Think emerald peaks, pineapple fields, clear lagoons, and overwater bungalows. Best for: Adventure, hiking, snorkeling, and romantic vibes. 🐢 Tetiaroa A luxury eco-paradise once reserved for Tahitian royalty—now famously home to The Brando resort. This protected atoll offers pristine nature and serene beaches. Best for: Ultimate seclusion, luxury, and nature conservation. 🐠 Rangiroa Part of the Tuamotu atolls, Rangiroa is a diver’s paradise. Crystal-clear waters, abundant marine life, and a peaceful village feel make it ideal for underwater enthusiasts. Best for: Scuba diving, snorkeling, and laid-back escape. 🌸 Huahine Known as “The Secret Island,” Huahine blends wild beauty with deep cultural roots. Fewer tourists, plenty of charm, and lush landscapes await. Best for: Cultural sites, slow travel, and authentic Polynesian life. 🐚 Bora Bora The most famous of them all—Bora Bora is postcard-perfect with turquoise lagoons, luxury resorts, and iconic overwater bungalows. Best for: Honeymoon-style luxury, relaxation, and bucket-list beauty. Island-hopping flights are easy to arrange, and our travel advisor can help if you'd like to explore beyond Tahiti!

Question

✈️ Travel & Logistics

Answer

Planning a trip to Tahiti is part of the fun—and we’re here to make it as easy as possible! 📍 Getting Here Tahiti’s international airport (PPT – Faa’a International) welcomes flights from major cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Auckland, and Paris. From the U.S., non-stop flights are around 8 hours from the West Coast. 🛂 Entry Requirements No visa is required for most travelers (including U.S. and EU passport holders), but make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. 💳 Currency & Payments The local currency is the French Pacific Franc (XPF). Credit cards are widely accepted in resorts and major restaurants, though it’s handy to have some cash for small shops or snacks. 🚕 Getting Around Taxis are available but can be pricey. We recommend renting a car for flexibility, especially if you're exploring outside of Papeete. If you hold a valid driver's license from your home country and as long as you are staying less than 3 months, you do not need an international driver's license—just be sure to bring your valid driver's license with you. If you are planning on renting a car in Tahiti, it may be a good idea to look up driving rules as we do have different ones from the US (no turn on red, knowing how to take roundabouts, lights are usually on the light post closest to the intersection and not across the intersection ...) 🌐 WiFi & Cell Service Most hotels and Airbnbs offer free WiFi. Local SIM cards are available at the airport or convenience stores or you can get an esim (Saily or Mobimatter) if you'd like easy mobile data during your stay. 🧳 Helpful Tips Pack light, breathable clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, and water shoes if you plan on swimming. And don’t forget your sense of adventure—Tahiti is full of beauty and surprises.
