FAQs

Question

Where do you recommend booking our stay?

Answer

We recommend Airbnb and VRBO, as these will be the most affordable options, even over the hotel block. If you choose to book the hotel block please do so before 11/2. Information can be found on the travel and lodging tab. When searching for a rental via AirBn (airbnb.com) or VRBO (vrbo.com), you can enter the Gadsden House address and search for a stay within 10 minutes from the venue, unless you plan to drive or rent a car.

Question

What dates should I book travel?

Answer

There will be a welcome party on Friday, November 1st, and we would love for you to join. Feel free to book your stay as early as Thursday, October 31st, and depart on Sunday, November 3rd.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at an indoor/outdoor venue on smooth sandstone and brick (no grass!). The weather will typically range from mid 70s during the day to low 50s at night.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm; the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot right outside of the Gadsden House, as well as an adjacent parking garage. The venue is in the heart of downtown, so Ubering or walking are also great options depending on where you are staying.

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

No, the venue is just a short walk or Uber/taxi ride from the hotel blocks.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, there is an ADA lift to access the main floor of the home.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or my kids?

Answer

Due to space limitations and to ensure an intimate atmosphere, we kindly request that only the individuals listed on the invitation join us. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you on our big day!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The welcome party is cocktail attire/business casual. The wedding ceremony and reception are black tie. Women should wear floor-length dresses and gowns, while men should wear tuxedos or black/navy suits.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions or concerns?

Answer

We want to make everyone feel comfortable at our wedding and have plenty of food to eat. If you have any special dietary needs, there will be a space to indicate so on your online RSVP.

Question

How can I contact you with any questions?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to the bride or groom via text or email!
