The first wedding event is Saturday, Feb 28, 2026. The Wedding Ceremony is on March 03, 2026. Here's what to expect based on the length of time you have available to join us: ♡ One week: Wedding shenanigans between Saigon (government name of city was officially changed to Ho Chi Minh City following the war) and Bao Loc, Vietnam. You'll fly in and out of Tai Son Nhat National Airport (SGN). We can help you with arrangements! ♡ Two weeks: The beautiful land of Ninh Binh, Vietnam and the first leg of Hanoi (northern city; Vietnam's capital.) ♡ Three weeks: Explore Northern Vietnam and all its splendor. There are options! You can choose a trip to legendary SaPa to explore above the cloud line; Mount Fanispan, and the local villages, or you can do your own tour; enjoy Hanoi longer, maybe visit Vietnam's iconic Ha Long Bay or Cat Be National park, or you can join us for the Ha Giang Loop. It borders China and includes the option to do a motorcycle tour with us or with a driver in a passenger vehicle. There will be lots of winding roads and breathtaking views deep in the mountains. It's typical to buy flights 6 months before the departure date, give or take. ♡ Play around with one-way vs. roundtrip flights for best pricing. ♡ Consider your layover time, less than 2 hours for international airports could be tight to get to your next terminal. ♡ A 20-something hour trip is not unusual. More than 28 hours is a bit long if going straight from the US. Check your layovers. ♡ Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, and Japan Airlines are the best we've experienced, but most of the major airlines that route through Asia have the most efficient routes.

You will see Than Pho (City) Ho Chi Minh or TP HCM to abbreviate HCMC = Saigon. ♡ Leave your expensive or flashy jewelry at home. ♡ Consider a comfortable, hidden fanny pack to carry your passport and cash. ♡ Never leave your passport in the hotel or Airbnb unless it is locked in the safe. Many hotel receptions will ask to keep it during stay for added security. ♡ Bottled water only for drinking. ♡ Prioritize comfort over fashion. ♡ Haggling in the market for merch and groceries is OK. Not for street food. ♡ Bring the OTC meds you need for unexpected discomfort.
