Lindsey and Drew met in the Fall of 2016 through mutual friends Nic (Drew's groomsman) and Casha (Lindsey's bridesmaid). The two quickly became best friends and began cultivating a budding relationship. At the end of her junior year at Chico State she studied abroad in Italy with her close friend Holly (Maid of Honor). Lindsey and Drew stayed in close contact throughout her summer studies. Within days of returning to Chico he asked her to dinner on July 19, 2017, the last first date either of them would ever have. Since then the two have been through many adventures together including a Hawaiian vacation, many hiking trips and a move to Martinez CA in the east bay area in April 2020 where they live together today.

When he couldn't wait out the pandemic any longer Drew took Lindsey to a hike in her hometown of Auburn, CA. The Quarry trail along the Middle Fork of the American River is a trail very close to Lindsey's heart. She had hiked it countless times growing up, discussing futures and plans with her friends. On August 9, 2020, at the top of the trail overlooking the canyon, Drew proposed to Lindsey. Afterwards her parents picked them up to celebrate with a BBQ and call friends and family to share the news.
