I wanted everything to be perfect for my proposal, with the lake in the background and the sun shining bright. Unfortunately the weather had other plans. It snowed the entire drive up to Diamond Peak. I clenched the ring in my pocket as we got on the first lift, no lake or sunshine in sight. But luckily just at the moment we pulled off the run to take a picture. The sky opened up, revealing a ray of sunshine and an opening to our favorite lake. It was now or never. I got down on one knee still strapped into my snowboard and proposed to my best friend. The sky closed up right after. Perfect.
