My beautiful and vivacious Tacy and I met at Kooper’s North restaurant in Timonium, Maryland. Through casual conversation we shared our mutual interests in Baltimore’s family traditions; a fondness for the diverse housing stock in the area and our desire to seek out new and exciting casual dining experiences from Frederick to Annapolis. What began as a budding friendship soon became a passionate and romantic loving relationship that grows stronger with each passing day. And those days are now being enjoyed in the historic city of Philadelphia and its many wonderful surrounding neighborhoods. The marriage proposal had to be equally dazzling and uncompromising to capture Tacy’s heart. So, on New Years Eve day while on a trip to Sausalito, California we first took the ferry into San Francisco. Once there, we boarded one of the city’s iconic cable cars at the foot of California street and as Tony Bennett would sing —we climbed halfway to the stars— atop Nob Hill where we disembarked— first strolling through the magnificent Fairmont Hotel then onto Huntington Park across from Grace Cathedral. It was in this century old park with statues and fountains of historical significance that I fell to bended knee and popped the all-important question...“Tacy, would you marry me”. What followed was a resounding YES followed by tears, kisses and hugs— along with the hopes and dreams for a wonderful, loving and devoted lifetime of happiness together.
