Whidbey Island, Washington, is just over 1 hour from downtown Seattle. There are two routes to get there, one includes a ferry crossing. The Clinton - Mukilteo ferry lands you approximately 5 minutes from the wedding venue! Please reach out to us directly if you have specific questions/needs regarding your time spent in Washington celebrating with us!

We Recommend...

... having access to a car, it will make things more flexible and convenient for you. Various car rental options are available at SeaTac Airport. The journey is roughly 2 hours to Whidbey Island from the airport. If needed, we can assist coordinating transportation carpools etc from the city of Seattle. The last ferry leaving the island departs at midnight. You can purchase a ticket at the terminal, you do not need to make a reservation. Click the link below for schedule and details!

Travel Note

We Encourage...

... staying on Whidbey Island, as there are many wonderful places to enjoy while you're there! Across the water on the Olympic Peninsula is Port Townsend, accessible via ferry, and is also a lovely place to visit. Camping is also accessible at many parks on the island, especially beautiful at Deception Pass State Park at the very north end, and you can make a reservation to ensure your site ahead of time! Airbnb's, hotels, and small boutique inns are all over the island. The wedding venue is on the south end, which is a little less populated than the rest of the island. The closest towns are Langley and Coupeville, sweet and quaint with plenty of restaurants and shops - more information in the "Things To Do" section! Langley (only 12 minutes from the wedding venue) has some lodging options such as Saratoga Inn & the Inn at Langley. Coupeville (about 30 minutes from the venue) features Captain Whidbey waterfront inn which we love! Other close-by places to look for lodging are Clinton & Freeland. Oak Harbor is the "city" on the island, with the larger hotels, big grocery stores, etc. As you research places to stay, be sure to take into consideration the geography of the island and account for driving time.
