On a lonely October evening, Jared was doing his nightly scrolling through whatever dating website he was on that week--and then it happened! He scrolled upon an absolute beauty who just landed in his hometown of Bremerton. He sent her a virtual rose that cost him $0.99 (a bargain) and it all began. Tabitha was just starting out her first stint as a travel nurse at St. Michael’s Hospital in Silverdale and decided she would try the dating app for a day, a decision that would change their lives forever. Their first date was on October 30th, 2022 at a local Mexican restaurant where they learned they shared many things in common. They both went to WSU, attended Catholic high schools in Seattle, and have a deep affinity for nights out, traveling, and live music. 4 weeks and 15 dates later, she decided she could see a future with this guy and that living in Bremerton is not all that bad. She extended her travel nursing contract and has been there ever since. After a few years filled with many trips to karaoke bars, beer festivals, and flights to whatever city piqued their interest, Jared got down on a knee on a freezing day in Port Townsend, Washington where Tabitha said "yes!" to spending the rest of their lives together.
