These are about an hour from Rapid, and a beautiful natural land formation. Stop in the famous Wall Drug after the scenic drive/ hikes for famous free ice water.
Fun fact about the Badlands: Our best man grew up with these as the backdrop to the ranch they had when he was little. How beautiful!

Badlands National Park

So many beautiful hiking paths including the famous “Devils bathtub”. This was Jeff and Tabby’s first hike together. We also got our fall pictures taken in the canyon in October of 2024.

Spearfish Canyon

Lots of hiking opportunities, great views and lakes!

Custer State Park

This is a great driving path. This has pull offs for photos and viewing spots. It has lots of turns so it is a slower drive, but one of our favorites in the black hills.
