It started with a swipe and ended with a ring! Tabitha met Brandon during her senior year of college in 2016. He was one of her first two matches on Tinder. Brandon didn’t waste any time sliding in her DMs. His first message read, “So, where is our first date going to be?!” Tabitha, with understandable hesitation, chose BJ’s. She was previously a hostess there and if the date went south, had friends to help her bail out. Two hours went by and to her surprise they had bonded about both being business majors at UCR and working for Target. Tabitha was especially entertained by his crazy stories of apprehension’s that he experienced while working in loss prevention. Brandon was outgoing, friendly, driven, and so funny! She felt like he had been a best friend. They started to date casually over the next couple months. Just as things started to get serious though, Brandon got cold feet and broke things off with Tabitha. But if you know Tabitha, she has this way of making you feel so seen and cared for. Not to mention she’s fearlessly loyal. It didn't take Brandon long to realize he couldn’t live without her. Stepping up to make amends, Brandon arrived at her apartment with flowers and a Costco-sized bottle of Patron to apologize. During this visit, he also invited her to move to San Diego with him. Tabitha, playing hard to get, accepted the patron and flowers right away. She told Brandon there would be one additional condition if she were to move to San Diego; a puppy needed to be added to their family. A few months later, Troy was born. Troy was Brandon’s first dog so naturally, they’re inseparable. A year later, they welcomed another dog, Zeus. Troy and Zeus now spend their days harassing the cat, P-dub, but like a good older sister, she tolerates them. Tabitha accepted Brandon’s apology and made him pinky promise he would never be fearful of commitment again, a promise he has never broken. They have lived in many cities - Riverside, San Diego, Miami, and Austin. They have created amazing communities around them and the rest is history!
