We're Getting Married!

It’s funny that the thing we both remember most about our first meeting is how enchanted we were by the other’s eyes. That's probably why we both couldn’t help but be excited about the prospect of locking eyes again when Tabby accepted a job at UB. Our paths kept crossing at work and after some time Marlon asked Tabby out for a walk around Lake Mohegan with Finn. Both of us were immediately comfortable with the other. We excitedly, and quickly, agreed to go to dinner on another date. While there were still some nerves figuring out if the feelings were mutual we both left that date knowing how rare it was to feel so natural in someone’s presence after such a short period of time. It was as if we had known each other for years rather than the handful of weeks it had been at that point. From then on we began spending as much time as possible together: whether we were walking along the beach or introducing each other to our families, in-person and over Facetime. These days were pure joy for us and it was then that we realized the magic and luck we had in finding one another. We knew that this was something different, something special. One late afternoon in December, we walked on the beach--as we often did--and came upon glittering gold letters that read “Will you marry me”. Regardless of the nerves we felt such excitement in that moment. We’re sure it’s no surprise to say that, knowing we had the blessing of our families and friends, it was there that we got engaged and decided that our lives together would be forever entwined.
