We met through youth at our church when we were both in sixth grade. We dated through the majority of middle school and went our separate ways during high school. We later connected again in college and it's as if we never skipped a beat. We quickly became close all over again and the rest well...is history!
March 3rd started as a normal Sunday, but quickly became one of the best days of our lives. Tyler got a call from his mom asking to meet at Maude Cobb. When he told me he had to meet her before our date, he tried to act all upset that our date was being pushed back but the half smile he was fighting told me something else was going on. As we approached the pond I could see his mom and one of our family friends and they asked if we would mind taking pictures for an upcoming event. When I walked onto the bridge I could see a bouquet of sunflowers, because he knows they are my favorite, and when I picked them up he pulled a ring box out of the flowers. He got down on one knee and started to tear up, and of course so did I, and told me that he wasn't good with words, but that he loved me and knew I was the one for him and asked me to marry him. I couldn't have been happier. In the middle of the hug "SHE SAID YESSS" broke the silence and to my surprise I turned around to see that most of our family and friends were there to share the special moment with us!
