Both the ceremony and the reception are indoors, and attire is formal/semi-formal or cocktail attire. Wear something nice but easy to dance in!
The ceremony will begin at 1:00pm, so arrive a little early (15-30 minutes) to be in your seat when it begins!
Our wedding Mass will take place in a Catholic church, so our ceremony needs to be finished before the Saturday evening Mass takes place.
Catholics believe that the bread and wine presented on the altar during a Mass become the living, real presence of Jesus--his body, blood, soul, and divinity. To receive communion is to receive the body of Christ. If you practice a different faith, do not share this belief, or have not been spiritually prepared through catechesis to receive the Eucharist, you are invited to remain present in the Mass without receiving communion. As the congregation processes to the front of the church during communion, you can choose to receive a blessing--by walking forward with your arms crossed on your chest so each hand rests on the opposite shoulder--or to remain at your seat, whatever you feel more comfortable with.
We understand that there is a rather inconvenient gap between our wedding ceremony and reception; unfortunately, that is always the timeline for Catholic weddings. This gap can be a great time to relax with friends/family or grab a drink at a local spot! We have some recommendations listed under the "Things To Do" section of our website.
Please RSVP by August 7, 2024.
