Question

Are masks required?

Answer

No, masks are not required. However, if you are having any type of sick symptoms, we humbly ask that you please stay home to protect our vulnerable guests.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are asking that everyone dress in their best formal wear. Either modern day or 1920s Gatsby Glam! The wedding will be outside, wear shoes and jackets accordingly. For ladies, we suggest avoiding heels.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at Farquhar Park in York, PA.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking photos nearby for approximately an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception tent and gazebo where there will be hors d’oeuvres, drinks and music.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes! The wedding theme is the roaring 20s! Come dressed in your best 1920s getup! If unsure where to get themed attire, Amazon, Etsy, and most thrift stores have some great options. If local to York, PA, the Salvation Army always has a great selection of suit jackets for men!

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

Your presence will be missed but we totally understand! If unable to attend, please RSVP “no” as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 45 minutes to an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure that everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free! Parking is on street and there will be signs designating where to park. Most of the parking will be available on Penn Street.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

When is the deadline to RSVP? Do I need to mail my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

Please RSVP by 9/17/2022. If you do not RSVP, you will not be permitted to attend. You may RSVP by mail or online, whichever is more convenient for you.

Is the ceremony/reception venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! There is a park entrance on N Newberry St that is wheelchair accessible.

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

There will be a grazing table with various options, including meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. There will also be some hot soups available.

Will there be any vegetarian meal options?

Answer

Yes! There will be a variety of foods including vegetarian options. If there is any specific diets, such as gluten free, that need to be accommodated, please contact us ahead of time.

Will there be alcohol or an open bar?

Answer

Unfortunately no alcohol is permitted at the park so there will not be alcohol available for consumption at the ceremony or reception. Please do not bring your own alcohol to the wedding.

Where are you registered?

Answer

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Most of the table decorations are decor in our home. Please do not take anything from the tables without asking the bride first. There will be treats available to take home as favors.

Can I take and post photos of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We encourage guests to post photos on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #…. So we can keep track of all your photos!

Question

Can we take photos during your ceremony?

Answer

There is a strict no phone or camera policy during the ceremony. Phones and cameras often get in the way of the photographer and ruin the photos. Please put your phones and cameras away until the reception. We will gladly share the photos from our photographer, he’s great!
