*This* is your 5 star hotel. It is the definition of la dolce vita. It was at one point, ranked the #1 hotel in Italy and #53 in the world. A 4 minute drive to the ceremony at Villa Balbianello and 6 minute drive to Podere Brughee. You will bottle the scent of roses when you walk in and any future lounging by the pool will be ruined beyond compare.

Beyond hotels, Airbnb and Vrbo have many fabulous private apartments and villas around the lake. Search for places in the towns of: Sala Comacina, Lenno, Tremezzo, Cadenabbia.

The closest airport to Lake Como is Milan, Malpensa (MXP)

From the airport to the lake – Taxi's are limited! There are taxis available at the airport once you land in Italy, these range (€180/€200). If you are not renting a car, we recommend arranging for transportation in advance through our wedding planner Aurora, email: aurora@lakecomoweddingsandevents.com Group Shuttle / Van If you are arriving with a group or would like to carpool, our wedding planner Aurora can organize transportation, email found above.

Getting around Lake Como

Depending on your love for windy roads and tight spaces, renting a car at the airport is the easiest way to get around the lake and from the airport to Lake Como. Car rentals from most major companies are available at the airport. Train

ItaliaRail and TrenItalia

The train is an AMAZING way to see more than Lake Como. Como San Giovanni train station is a 40 minute drive / 50 minute bus ride from the Lenno/Tremezzo area. You can easily travel to Switzerland and into Milan then all of Italy from this station. *There are so many amazing trips you can take from here, more details to come!
