Carrie, Scott, Boone and the whole family walk here often. If you are looking for an easy walk with beautiful views, we recommend taking the Red Gate Trail to the Flatlanders Pass and either just walking a little bit more to see the pond or doing the full Pond Loop. Parking is off of West Union Street and the trail head starts at a black gate.
Go for a swim or take a walk around the pond. Super clear and fresh, Carrie and Scott (and Boone!) swim here whenever they can! Tips: The bottom of the pond can be rocky, so water-friendly shoes are recommended. For added fun we recommend an inner tube ( pick one up at Rite Aid in town). Direction Tips: From VT-30 S you'll need to turn onto Kendall Farm Road/National Forest 320 - you'll see a red school house right as you turn, and the road will be dirt. If you pass Homestead Landscaping you've gone down too far. Continue about 1 mile on the dirt road, you'll pass some nice homes and then come to a stream on your left. The entry for the pond is a sharp right turn. Parking is to the left of the pond.
The general store of your dreams! Find incredible local food (you can sample as much as you want!), board games from your childhood, and maple-scented soap all in one place. The Vermont Country Store is 30 minutes from Manchester Center in Weston.
