Symone and Selasie met online in 2023 thanks to Hinge—and while they still debate who recommended meeting in real life first, Symone is confident she made the first suggestion. Selasie drove to Baltimore for their first date, which included brunch in Fells Point and a walking tour of the city. Symone remembers Selasie as handsome, warm, and friendly, while Selasie recalls Symone as beautiful, smart and reserved. From that first day, it was clear something special was beginning. Two years later, despite busy careers, they cherish the small moments—walks after work, arcade games, and time with family and friends. Their shared love of culture, music, travel, and togetherness has taken them from Ghana to Boston and everywhere in between. In November, Selasie proposed to Symone at her childhood home in Boston, somehow managing to actually surprise her! What began with a swipe has grown into a partnership filled with love, laughter, and intention. As they prepare to say I do, they are excited to celebrate this next chapter with loved ones and look forward to the future ahead!
