How far is the venue from nearby cities?

Answer

The Woman's Club of Portsmouth is about a 40-minute drive from Virginia Beach, 25 minutes from Norfolk, a 20-minute drive from Chesapeake, and an hour's drive from Williamsburg.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code attire is cocktail for the wedding. Please avoid wearing orange or white (dresses) or dark green (suits) as the wedding party will wear these colors.

Is there a hotel block for the wedding?

Answer

We have selected The Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel since it is an 11-minute commute from the venue (by car) and is located in downtown Norfolk where guests can explore and travel on foot. The rate for The Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel is $169/night. Self-parking in the Main Street Parking Garage is $22/night. The rate does not include local and state taxes. What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

All RSVPs must be submitted online by August 5th, 2024.

Am I allowed to bring plus ones? Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While there will be plus ones and children present, they have all been accounted for. If you wish to have a plus one or bring a child, please get in touch with the bride or groom specifically to verify this as a possibility as we are monitoring the guest list.

Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?

Answer

We ask that your phones be put away so our photographer can capture as many photos as possible during the ceremony. During the cocktail hour and reception, however, you are free to take as many photos as you wish on your cell phone.
