From Rome: Trains to Assisi depart from Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina stations. The journey takes 2–3 hours, with some direct routes and others requiring a quick transfer at Foligno. From Florence: Depart from Firenze Santa Maria Novella or Campo di Marte. The journey is 2–3 hours, typically with a transfer at Terontola-Cortona or Foligno. From Perugia: A short, direct regional train ride of 20–30 minutes will bring you to Assisi. In all cases, you’ll arrive at the Santa Maria degli Angeli station, located 5 km from the historic centre. From there, take a bus or taxi to reach the town.
