Back in 2017, after I photographed a family event for the Rodriguez family, brave Eddie literally stopped my car in the parking lot to ask for my number (and if you’ve seen my driving, you know that took courage!). We talked, went on a date or two, but life was busy — and the timing just wasn’t right. Still, every time we crossed paths over the years, it felt like the story wasn’t over. She focused on God. He did the same. And in His perfect timing, God decided it was finally our turn. Fast forward to November 2024, when Eddie’s sister needed a last-minute photographer. I almost said no because of my foot surgery, but something told me I needed to be there. That night, Eddie handed me a card. Inside was a sweet thank-you note… and another card asking me out. Smooth move, Eddie. On our first official date, he surprised me with a trip to Peddler’s Village at Christmastime — exactly where I had secretly hoped we were going. A year later, after traffic, parking chaos, muddy shoes, and me being slightly cranky, Eddie got down on one knee in the same place we took our first photo together. Before I could even say “yes,” he was already putting the ring on my finger. Turns out, the delays weren’t denials — they were just God perfecting the timing. And now, here we are… ready for forever. 💍✨
