Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love for our guests to wear colorful dresses, skirts, buttondowns, and polos with fun patterns and dress pants/khakis. Wear comfortable shoes for walking and dancing. Examples of awesome outfits are on the "schedule" page of our website.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your kids, but because the Waterhole is a bar, all guests must be 21+.

Question

Is Sylvia changing her last name?

Answer

Yes. Her new name will be Sylvia Smith.

Question

Are there ubers/lyfts?

Answer

No there are not. We highly recommend staying at Hotel Saranac or an air bnb that is a short walking distance from the Waterhole if you plan to drink.

Question

If we are flying to the wedding, which airport should we fly into?

Answer

If you will need a rental car, we recommend flying into the Albany International Airport. If you are able to rely on family/friends for rides, you can get a direct flight from the JFK International Airport or the Boston Logan International Airport to the Adirondack Regional Airport through Cape Air.

Question

Can we bring light up dance accessories?

Answer

Yes! These will be great for the DJ sets.

Question

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The musicians will be performing indoors. The bar is indoors. There is an outdoor patio that people can hang out on if they want.

Question

Which musicians are performing?

Answer

Sylvia's dad's Grateful Dead cover band named The Wheel will be playing from 6:00-9:00. Sylvia & Cassidy's good friends' Steve Chodkowski and Ricardo Lopez will be performing a house DJ set under the collaborative name Cho.Lo from 9:30-11:00.

Question

Are Sylvia and Cassidy getting married at the Waterhole?

Answer

No. They will already be married at their reception, which is an even greater reason to celebrate! They are having a very small intimate wedding ceremony on September 9th.

Question

When should we book hotel rooms/air bnbs?

Answer

ASAP. Saranac Lake is a very popular place for tourists to stay in September.
