Grandfather Mountain is the one of the tallest mountains in the Blue Ridge mountain range.  
A spectacular drive into the attraction (admission fee & reservations required) takes visitors to the wheelchair-accessible Mile-High Swinging Bridge, thousands of feet above the Carolina Piedmont. You'll marvel at 360-degree views of mountain ridge after mountain ridge retreating to the distant horizon.

Grandfather Mountain

This is a 1.2 mile out and back hike with trailhead accessed from the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are a number of stairs but overall easy hike with beautiful views.
