Instead of traditional wedding favors, Duncan and I have decided to make a donation to Safe Haven Humane Society. This wonderful shelter is where we found our first kitty- AppleBottom. We are currently medically fostering another kitty from there: Godzilla! This cat rescue is an amazing organization run by the most wonderful people, and we want to give back to them for letting us love two amazing cats. They have been there for us through all the scary moments that come with fostering special needs kitties and we could not be more grateful. A special shoutout to our foster coordinator: Nancy! We couldn't do it without her. If you wish to make a donation, there will be a table set up at the reception! Feel free to bring cat food, cat toys, beds, litter, or a cash donation! Anything helps, and the kitties will be so grateful.

Our first cat!
When we started looking for a cat to bring into our lives, Syeira looked through every adoption page she could find (and cried about every single one). When we found AppleBottom at Safe Haven, there was just a feeling that she was the one. There aren't words enough to describe AppleBottom. She was the spry age of 18 when we stumbled upon her- but you wouldn't know it by the way she acted. She was so spicy and funny. She would bite you, but just hard enough to let you know she was annoyed with you. Even if she was mad at us, she would still come sleep on our pillow that night and beg for love. She turned Duncan into a cat person, and she was Syeira's soul cat.

Godzilla is our second medical foster that we have since adopted! He’s an independent guy but I think he likes us secretly. Our nightly routine is picking him up and putting him in bed, where he will reluctantly lay down and purr like an engine. He’s our pride and joy and I embarrassingly show him off like he’s my son. We just loooove him!!
