Kohler-Andrae is just south of Sheboygan, and lies on County Highway V. It's about a 90 minute drive from Racine, or a 50 minute drive from Milwaukee. We recommend taking Interstate Highway 43. You will get off on exit 120 and then go east on Highway V for about two miles. Where Highway V turns left (north), go straight ahead on Beach Park Lane, which is the park entrance road. You can stop at the Park Office for a map, which has the locations of our events labeled on it, or reference the map we've provided on this website under the "photos" tab.
Since our ceremony and reception are at a Wisconsin State Park, they do require that every vehicle has an admission sticker. If you have an annual sticker of your own already, great! Otherwise, if you let us know ahead of time (with your RSVP would be perfect!) that you will need a day of sticker, we can purchase them as a group at a discounted price. There are two parking lots right next to the amphitheater for the ceremony, with plenty of space in them (provided the park isn't super crowded) along with one by the beach, which is just down the hill from the amphitheater. For the reception, there is a parking lot with 25 spaces directly across a small grassy area from the reception hall. There is also a larger one slightly down the road. For those with limited mobility, there is a 30 minute parking area right outside of the building for easy drop off. We also highly encourage carpooling so that less parking stickers and less parking spaces have to be dealt with!
We love all of your children, but please leave them at home (with a wonderful babysitter who I'm sure they'll have way more fun with anyway). We have a very tight capacity at our reception venue/rain location, and simply can't accommodate any lovely little ones that aren't a part of the wedding party.
Only if your invitation is addressed to you "and Guest". Again, our capacity is strictly limited, and we literally can't comfortably fit anyone who isn't on the guest list.
Casual Cocktail Attire - wear something a little bit dressy, but also remember that we'll be in the woods in late August. We want everyone to be comfortable for any probable summer heat, and able to navigate the fields/wooded trails/and beach nearby if you so choose. Colorful and airy outfits are encouraged.
No later than Thursday, August 1st, and the earlier the better. Your formal invitation will include a super cool, super easy, RSVP card inside an already addressed and stamped envelope. Fill it out and send it back to us as soon as you can so that we can make appropriate preparations for the day of (you want to make sure that there's actually food, drinks, and a seat at a table for yourself, right?)
