FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sydnii Ray and Travis Wade
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Mountain Chic Ladies: midi dresses, short dresses, long dresses, silks and florals, wedges, platforms, flats or boots. Ground is rather uneven, so leave the stilettos at home Gentlemen: dress pants, button downs, suit jackets. No jeans, please. No need to break out the tuxedo or wear uncomfortable shoes!

Question

Can we Uber?

Answer

Uber is available although it may take some time as we are a bit rural at this venue. There will be a bus pick up/drop off at Hotel Leo in Bellingham and parking available for about 40 cars. We highly encourage either carpool or shuttling as a result

Question

Can I bring my child?

Answer

We are asking that this is a child-free wedding to maximize the number of adults we can have at the venue. Turns out that head counts are one of the worst parts about planning a wedding! We have local sitters we know and trust that we can refer you to, or help arrange a group sitter that hangs out at the venue. Babies in arms are ok (under six months) Kids are welcome at all other wedding related events <3. We do love all of the littles, we promise!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

The Hotel Leo, the Four Points Sheraton or near Lake Whatcom. For a more budget friendly option there is Airbnb and the Lavissh Inn and Suites. There is not much out by the venue, so maybe stay closer to Bellingham to make your life easier

Question

Can you accomodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will be serving food buffet style and there will be a vegetarian option. Please let us know if there are any severe allergies (like tree nuts) so we can be sure to adjust accordingly

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes, yes, and yessssss! We have a really fun local DJ booked who suits the vibe perfectly. He has been working with us to curate an awesome playlist. Music recommendations are always welcome! Our venue does require that music be turned down by 10pm so we will be bussing people out around that time

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes. We will be serving signature cocktails, beer, cider, and wine. Please no drinking and driving!

Question

What is there to do around Bellingham?

Answer

Whale watch, hike, mountain bike, fish, drive up to Mt Baker to see Artist Point, Mirror Lake, Chuckanut Falls, check out the San Juan islands and the Puget Sound, make a quick trip up to BC. Limitless options!
