Horning Wedding 2024

We are high school sweethearts and started dating at 16. We really have Sydnie's brother, Sean, to thank for the start of our love story because he stole Sydnie's phone after she had told Sean about her crush on Josh and texted Josh, "You're cute." To Sydnie's utter embarrassment, because that is just the worst thing that can happen in high school, Josh replied. We have not stopped talking since that day. We became best friends and then more, and have loved each other ever since. We have grown together and loved one another for four years. We could not imagine it any other way. We are so excited about this new season in our lives!

It was a magical proposal. Josh proved me wrong in thinking I would know when it happened because he pulled it all off perfectly. He picked out my outfit for church that morning, so I wouldn't think anything of dressing nice. We had planned to go on a date already because I had just returned from Kenya, and we wanted to spend time together. We went and got a sushi boat called the Love Boat, our favorite food. Then, he took us on a nice fall walk along the Maumee River in Grand Rapids, one of our favorite places to go together. He prayed for me on our way to the river and reminisced over our relationship. Then, he got down on one knee by the river and immediately made me sob. He could hardly get a word out (typical of our relationship) because I said yes fast. It was perfect. We're excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in August! #tohaveandtohorning
