We first met in middle school when Kirk transferred to IMS from being home schooled, but we were just classmates. We became friends in high school and got to know each other better. We went out for a night of fun to the Baton Rouge Revelry where we enjoyed a little bit of jazz and funk from local bands. We took a walk along the river and up the levee. We left a little before midnight and ordered some pizza. When we got home to our fur-babies, he got down on one knee and asked me if I would like to start the New Year as his fiancee. So not only did we get pizza, we get to spend forever going on adventures together!
