Question

What is a Nuptial Mass?

Answer

What is a Nuptial Mass? A Nuptial Mass is a specific Mass celebrated for the bride and groom. "...the celebration of marriage between two Catholic faithful normally takes place during Holy Mass, because of the connection of all the sacraments within the Paschal mystery of Christ" (CCC 1621) The marriage ceremony takes place within the Mass because just as we have a covenantal relationship with Christ, in which He became incarnate, died for us, and gives Himself fully to us in the Eucharist, a man and a wife give completely of themselves to one another. The Sacrament of Marriage is sacrificial, therefore it is fitting that we offer our lives to each other in union with Christ's sacrifice for us in Mass.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Out of respect for the mass and our photographer, we ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We'd love for you to be fully present in the moment with us!
