Sydney and Mike met at one of Mike's fraternity's Halloween parties in Salisbury. Mike was dressed as the Joker (from the Dark Knight Batman Movie), but all Sydney knew was he was wearing a little nurse's dress and that sealed the deal for her. They talked and danced the entire rest of the night. Sydney and Mike really became inseparable since then and Halloween continues to be one of their favorite holidays!

Mike took Sydney to their favorite sushi spot in Old Ellicott City, then suggested going to a beer garden afterwards. To Sydney's surprise, Mike continued on past the beer garden to a private patio decorated with rose petals. When Mike got down on one knee and opened the ring box, Sydney said "yes!" before he could even ask the question! They spent the rest of the night celebrating on Main Street with some of their closest friends and family.
