Sydney and Ben first met at a pool party hosted by Ben’s younger sister for the young adults at church. Ben was busy getting the pool ready when they struck up their first conversation, naturally revolving around UNO and sports. After that day, life went on, and they didn’t see each other again for months. Then, on a random Sunday in September, Ben noticed Sydney at church and thought, why not reach out and see what comes of it? They went on a walk that Thursday, and funny enough, both walked away thinking the other wasn’t interested. Thankfully, the Lord was working and had other plans. Ben soon asked Sydney on their first official date to El Basha, followed by ice cream, and from there, everything changed. Two weeks later, they made it official, and the adventure began. Just over a year later, Ben popped the question in Elmwood, after secretly planning with his sister-in-law to use graduation photos at UNO as the perfect cover. Sydney was (mostly) surprised and in awe of the beautiful setup Ben had waiting for her. After celebrating their engagement with some of their closest friends, the date was set. Sydney and Ben are overjoyed to share this special day with their loved ones and for the day to be full of glorifying God!
