Tyler and I were in the same Psychology class and had mutual friends who "set us up" after I couldn't stop talking about how cute he was! He sent me an anonymous Valentine's Day note and after a week I finally figured out it was him (which I could NOT believe). We had our first coffee date the next day and we both knew then that we had found the one we'd spend forever with! :)

We had just moved home from school early because of Covid-19 and to get our minds off of everything Tyler planned a picnic for us on Sweetwater beach. I put on a cute outfit and met him there, where he was sitting at a picnic table with a cooler. Of course, the first words I said to him were "What are we having? I'm starving!" while attempting to open the cooler. When he pulled out a gift and told me to open it I was confused. I unwrapped it and it was a Bible, engraved with 'Tyler and Sydney Dayhoff'. I opened it to the bookmarked page where I found a list titled 'Sydney 101' which was a list of things Tyler promised to do including things like cherishing me everyday and occasionally letting me eat french fries. My favorite verses, I Corinthians 13 were highlighted with the words "Will you marry me?" written next to them. I turned around and there he was on one knee. I cried, did a little squeal, and said yes!! His mom and sister came out from hiding and took some pictures, and then we headed back to their lake home for a surprise engagement party with both of our families. It was a dream come true!
