Built to resemble a stadium, Big Al’s Sports Bar and Grill boasts a monster 14-foot by 55-foot-wide jumbo-tron video screen to broadcast all the games. has two boat ramps available to the public. On a sunny day, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, rafts, and all manner of floating devices dot the long, narrow body of water. Fishing for bass, bluegill, and perch in the adjoining waters of Round Lake also keeps boaters busy. For those without boating gear, Sweetwater SUP Rentals offers premier standup paddleboards and kayak rental services at Heritage Park.

Weyerhaeuser’s Forest Learning Center: Offers educational displays and activities related to the forest ecosystem. Mount St. Helens Institute Science and Learning Center at Coldwater: This hands-on education center is located seven miles from the crater and offers spectacular views and immersion into the volcanic landscape in the heart of the blast zone. Guided Trips: Offers summit climbs, skywatching overnights, and treks into the crater. Johnston Ridge Observatory: Located at the end of State Highway 504, this observatory provides information about the historic 1980 eruption. The access road is currently closed, and the observatory will remain inaccessible until late 2026.
